Inductions

Before your child officially starts nursery we will carry out induction sessions. This is so both you and your child are prepared for the transition.

Your child’s first induction …

You will be given a time slot to come with your child and meet the team. We offer a morning session at 9.30 and an afternoon session at 2.30. When you arrive you will be asked to sign yourself and your child in on our register before you are shown to the correct area.

You may be given some further forms to take away and complete (this will help us to provide a better continuity between home and nursery and to be able to follow your child’s routine)

During the induction there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and chat with all practitioners who will be caring for your child and you will also meet your key worker.

Further inductions…

At the end of the first induction we will talk to you about booking further inductions which will help to build up to leaving your child to play with your key worker before they actually start attending nursery.

Home visits…

We offer home visits during the induction period which has proved to be very beneficial to some families. A home visit can be arranged for a mutually convenient time.

When your child starts their first day at nursery they will be familiar with the environment and key worker and will have made friends with the other children. You can call us or we can call you to let you know how your child is.
